Interior Architecture

Growing up I had always loved art classes but never felt that I could do something with it so I ignored my passion for design. After graduating from High School I had wanted to become a nurse, after looking at my options I decided on becoming an EMT through the local tech college, where I soon learned that I faint when I see blood. I then decided to transfer colleges, while trying to figure out what to do, until I was going through UWSP majors and minors list and spotted UWSP Interior Architecture program, and from then on have loved the major.
Throughout my time at UWSP I have participated many organizations, American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) as both secretary and Co-President, Illuminating Engineering Society (IES) as secretary and promotions, as well as playing Intramural soccer, and volleyball. I also had three internship while in school my first one was with Guzman Case corporation where I learned a lot about Revit and the building processes. My second was for the UWSP Museum of Natural History as a graphic designer. And my last one was with Sherwin Williams as a Marketing and Business intern.
As a designer, I want to make an impact on how individuals view spaces, by connecting interiors to the environments surrounding them. I also believe in creating functional, innovative, sustainable spaces that exceed client expectations. It is important for me to be the best I can be and continue to advance each year as a designer professionally.

I lastly want to thank my family and friends for standing by me throughout my college journey and always supporting me.
