Interior Architecture

In June 2001, I was adopted from Guanzhou, China, and ever since I have called Portage, WI home. My parents and older brother have been a great support system throughout my education and endeavors. I have always been a smaller person and with that came the need to protect myself. When I was five years old I joined the martial arts and from there my whole life changed. I am currently a fourth-degree black belt, senior instructor, and 10x Grand Champion.
When I am not at work or designing, you can find me on the karate floor, hiking, riding my 2000 Honda Rebel, playing piano, listening to country music, or at the beach. I love traveling, going on adventures, and seeing the world.
Beyond graduation, I wish to pursue commercial design but more specifically, hospitality. I have been blessed with design experience before graduation. I interned for UW-Stevens Point Facility Services as a student designer and then was offered an internship position at ADCI as an associate interior designer. Post-graduation, I have been offered a full-time position with ADCI in the CADD department. I owe a lot of my accomplishments to martial arts and what it has instilled in me as an individual. My determination, never give up attitude, and always giving 100%, have shaped me into the designer I have become.
I would like to thank the professors, mentors, employers, friends, and family, for the love and support throughout the years. Graduating would not have been possible without you!!!
